To Elias,
"It's not a fight until there's resistance - something to overcome."
- Teddy Atlas
You only know who you really are when you through hardship. When you're thrown into the deep end. When your body becomes completely focused on the pain but your mind is able to move beyond the pain, to do what needs to be done. A doctor who face something he has never read about and he sitll has to handle it. A fireman who goes into a burning building, and there's someone there who needs his help and the fire is spreading fast and he has to make the split-second decision to risk his life to save that man. When you've worked on something so hard for so long, and you fail. Then you find something inside you to stand up and try, and try again.
Only when you can overcome the unexpected challenges, will you find out what you're really made of. You'll find out who you truly are. That is something priceless. Something no one can take away from you.
Life's a fight. Never give up.
Love,
Papa
